Mustard Seeds Womens Initiative provides a range of programs designed to empower vulnerable girls in Teso Sub-Region’s poorest communities. Our programs aim to secure education and skills, work with communities to prepare for and survive disasters, inspire girls to take the lead in decisions that affect their lives, enable girl child-headed families to earn a living and protect girls from all forms of abuse and exploitation.

Psycho-Social Support Program

Our Psycho-Social Support Program provides girls with the necessary psychological, spiritual, and material support to help them attain a better future. The program aims to meet the needs of girls, particularly those living in poor communities, by promoting advocacy and learning on issues affecting them. We develop the capacity of families and community structures to support girls.

Education Program

The Education Program by Mustard Seeds Womens Initiative aims to equip girls with the necessary life skills, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities to enable them to cope and self-manage.

Our program provides girls with vocational training on life skills, body and reproductive health, and decision-making. We also provide training on power and gender relationships, which is essential in the development of girls.

The Mary Lane Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Mary Lane, who was deeply involved in the Mustard Seeds Ministry in Uganda and dedicated her life to serving others. The scholarship specifically aims to support young girls in Uganda and provide them with access to education to help them succeed. By partnering with the scholarship fund, donors can help protect young girls from life on the streets and prostitution.
